William Lynch is trained in his quest for vengeance by a mysterious man known as Richard.
From the hints dropped in the novel, Richard must be Richard Joseph Camellion, the Death Merchant. William’s grandfather, Thomas Lynch, is the protagonist of the World War II-set series Commando (Operation Arrowhead, Operation Bedlam, Operation Cannibal, and Operation Dervish) and the side series Commando Resistance (The Train to Calais.)

I really enjoyed this book. This is probably the only Men's Adventure Novel that I know of where the protagonist has an actual character arc. It even made the Death Merchant interesting. (Of the two Death Merchant novels, I've read one was So-Bad-It's-Good and the other was just plain bad.)
ReplyDeleteWilliam's uncle from that book has his own book Hangman: San Francisco Slaughter where Richard appears again.
