Crossover Cover: A Cabinet Secret

A mysterious secret society plotting to sabotage the British Empire rents Wiltshire House, a residence belonging to the Earl of Brewarden, to use as their London headquarters. Wiltshire House was the residence of the Duchess of Wiltshire in Boothby’s collection A Prince of Swindlers. The Duchess must have sold her home to the Earl of Brewarden sometime in the five years since the 1894 events of A Prince of Swindlers. Since A Prince of Swindlers takes place in the Crossover Universe, so does this novel. In A Cabinet Secret, the British Prime Minister is assassinated. Since no such event happened in 1899, this should be regarded as a distortion of the truth on Boothby’s part.
