Crossover Cover: All the Devils Are Here

In this story by Jonathan Maberry, Joe Ledger and rare book specialist Lizzie Corbett team up to stop cultists in Turkmenistan who worship Atlach-Nacha. Said cultists are trying to open a door to another world and unleash the Tripod Riders onto our world. Ledger speculates that H. G. Wells must have encountered the Tripods before he wrote his book. This crossover brings together two of Maberry’s series characters, Joe Ledger and Lizzie Corbett. Atlach-Nacha is from Clark Ashton Smith’s Cthulhu Mythos story “The Seven Geases.” The tripods are from H. G. Wells’ The War of the Worlds.

This crossover is one of over a thousand covered in my book Crossovers Expanded: A Secret Chronology of the World Volume 3, coming this summer from Meteor House! All three volumes are AUTHORIZED companions to Win Scott Eckert's Crossovers: A Secret Chronology of the World Volumes 1 and 2!

Crossover Cover: Rage

Scott Wilson becomes the new head of Rogue Team International. Wilson has previously worked with Chess Team, Sigma Force, and MHI. When the need arises, RTI can call on werewolf private eye Sam Hunter to help them on a freelance basis. Besides Chess Team, Sigma Force, and MHI, Seal Team 666 is another ally of RTI. Chess Team is from a series of novels by Jeremy Robinson. Sigma Force is from James Rollins’ books. MHI (Monster Hunter International) is the focus of a series by Larry Correia. Sam Hunter appears in his own series of stories by Maberry. Seal Team 666 is from Weston Ochse’s novels.

Crossover Cover: Dogs of War

Joe Ledger says that because of recent problems, cases that should have gone to the Department of Military Sciences instead went to other “specialists” such as Sigma Force and Seal Team 666. Tucker Wayne and his dog Kane are mentioned, along with Chess Team, and Agent Franks makes a cameo. Sigma Force is the subject of a series of novels by James Rollins. Tucker Wayne and Kane are from another series by Rollins and Grant Blackwood. Seal Team 666 is from Weston Ochse’s books. Chess Team is from a series of books by Jeremy Robinson. Agent Franks, from Larry Correia’s Monster Hunter International series, met Ledger in the story “Weaponized Hell.”

This crossover is one of hundreds covered in my book Crossovers Expanded: A Secret Chronology of the World Volume 3, which will be published by Meteor House! All three volumes are AUTHORIZED companions to Win Scott Eckert's Crossovers: A Secret Chronology of the World Volumes 1 and 2!

Crossover Cover: Joe Ledger: Unstoppable

This anthology of stories featuring Jonathan Maberry's character Joe Ledger has several stories in which the contributors have Ledger meeting their own characters.

In Jon McGoran's "Strange Harvest," Ledger and McGoran's detective Doyle Carrick investigate a pharmaceutical corporation.

In Scott Sigler's "Vacation," Ledger, vacationing in San Francisco, is asked to investigate the murder of two DEA agents. Inspector Lawrence “Pookie” Chang takes Ledger to the mansion of a possible suspect, Jebediah Erickson. Chang and Erickson are from Sigler’s novel Nocturnal.

In Larry Correia's "Psych Eval," the Department of Military Sciences must deal with a demonically possessed agent. Agent Franks has been contacted and is on his way. Franks is from Correia’s Monster Hunter International series.

In Jeremy Robinson's "Prince of Peace," an enigmatic group takes Joe Ledger and Chess Team’s Jack Sigler prisoner. Chess Team is the subject of a series of novels by Robinson.

In James R. Tuck's "White Flame on Sunday," Ledger joins forces with monster hunter Deacon Chalk to combat a Sumerian elephant cult. Like Ledger, Tuck’s character Deacon Chalk has several solid links to the CU.

Dana Fredsti's "Crash Course" features Ledger in the world of Fredsti’s Ashley Parker series, which takes place after a zombie apocalypse. Obviously, this would be an AU.

These crossovers are among the hundreds covered in my book Crossovers Expanded: A Secret Chronology of the World Volume 3, which will be published by Meteor House! All three volumes are AUTHORIZED companions to Win Scott Eckert's Crossovers: A Secret Chronology of the World Volumes 1 and 2!

Crossover Cover: Urban Allies

This anthology consists of collaborations between Urban Fantasy authors teaming their respective characters. Two of the stories have relevance to the Crossover Universe.

In Weston Ochse and David Wellington's "The Lessons of Room 19," vampire hunter and ex-con Laura Caxton is blackmailed into helping Seal Team 666 member Jack Walker rid himself of his dependence on a “ghostskin” that bears the spirit of his dead girlfriend. Ochse’s Seal Team 666 series is in the CU through references in Jonathan Maberry’s Joe Ledger books, so this story brings in Laura Caxton, the protagonist of a series of novels by Wellington.

In Larry Correia and Jonathan Maberry's "Weaponized Hell," the aforementioned Joe Ledger, of the Department of Military Sciences, and Agent Franks of the Monster Control Bureau battle terrorists who are summoning demons. Ledger and Agent Franks (from Correia’s Monster Hunter International series) are both in the CU.

These crossovers are only two of hundreds covered in my book Crossovers Expanded: A Secret Chronology of the World Volume 3, which will be published by Meteor House! All three volumes are AUTHORIZED companions to Win Scott Eckert's Crossovers: A Secret Chronology of the World Volumes 1 and 2!

Crossover of the Week

February-Early September 2021

RELENTLESS

Joe Ledger visits two older men who knew his father, Hap Collins and Leonard Pine, as well as another of the elder Ledger’s acquaintances, Dr. Jean McGee-Thompson, a veterinarian who does “private salvage work on the side,” and lives aboard a boathouse in Fort Lauderdale. Joe’s grandfather was a close friend of Jean’s father. Seal Team 666, Chess Team, and SIGMA Force are mentioned.

Novel by Jonathan Maberry, St. Martin’s Griffin, 2021. Hap Collins and Leonard Pine are from Joe R. Lansdale’s Hap and Leonard books. Dr. Jean McGee-Thompson is meant to be Jean Killian, Travis McGee’s illegitimate daughter from John D. MacDonald’s The Lonely Silver Rain. Jean, who was born in 1968, is fifty-three here, so the year must be 2021. Jean appears in Lori Stone’s The Black Squall, set in 1997, as Jean Pearson, a young widow avenging the death of her father and his best friend Ludwig Meyer. According to Ledger, Jean’s husband was murdered twelve years earlier by his business partner, whom she killed in return. At some point between 1997 and 2009, Jean must have remarried to a man named Thompson. She evidently had terrible luck when it came to her husbands’ mortality. Seal Team 666 is from Weston Ochse’s novels. Chess Team is from Jeremy Robinson’s book series. The SIGMA Force series is authored by James Rollins.

This crossover writeup is one of hundreds included in my book Crossovers Expanded: A Secret Chronology of the World Volume 3, to be published by Meteor House! All three volumes are AUTHORIZED companions to Win Scott Eckert's Crossovers: A Secret Chronology of the World Volumes 1 and 2!

As you may have guessed, I am back from my annual pilgrimage to FarmerCon, and will be resuming my daily crossover posts! I had a great time hanging out with Win, Michael Croteau, Paul Spiteri, and lots more of our friends. I attended some great panels, had some quality meals, and bought lots of books, including at least two works that will be in the new volume. It was a magical four-day event, and I am eagerly awaiting next year's convention!

Crossover Cover: You Will Never Leave Harlan Alive

Jonathan Maberry's story in this anthology takes place in 1989. Police Captain Bosch has left New York City and is now a county sheriff in Kentucky. Blue Diamond Security is mentioned.  Captain Bosch is from the movie C.H.U.D. Blue Diamond Security is from Maberry’s Joe Ledger series. Since Ledger is in the CU, so are the characters of C.H.U.D. and its sequel, C.H.U.D. II: Bud the Chud

This crossover, and hundreds more, are covered in my book Crossovers Expanded: A Secret Chronology of the World Volume 3, to be published by Meteor House! Like the first two volumes, this latest work is an AUTHORIZED companion to Win Scott Eckert's Crossovers: A Secret Chronology of the World Volumes 1 and 2!
