In this film directed by Sam Raimi and co-written by Joel and Ethan Coen, Vic Ajax is on death row at Hudsucker State Penitentiary. A newspaper headline reads, “Military seals off Tennessee murder site. Time-space disturbance discovered.” The Coen Brothers would go on to direct the film The Hudsucker Proxy, in which the company Hudsucker Industries is featured. The newspaper headline is a reference to Raimi’s film Evil Dead II.
