Great Vampi covers with a nonsensical story. :-)
ReplyDeleteI quite agree, Win. ;)
ReplyDeleteDoesn't Dracula appear a lot in Vampirella's original comics? Correct me if I'm wrong.
ReplyDeleteYep.
ReplyDeleteI thought so. So they probably did not need a whole miniseries event for crossing the too.
ReplyDeleteDracula also appeared in American Vampire one storyline, but in such away that it had to be an alternate universe to the CU. For one Dracula was intercepted and imprisoned before coming to England by the Vessels of the Morning Star (kind of like the Watchers from Buffy.) The actual novel by Stoker was based on the ravings of a senile Vassal.
No, not really.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that about AMERICAN VAMPIRE. The main character's origin story had a reference to Sidewinder, Colorado, the town nearest to the Overlook Hotel in THE SHINING. I'll have to revise my entry for it and move it to the Alternate Universes appendix.
The Dracula storyline is in the latest trade that has been released.
ReplyDeleteI did not realize that Sidewinder was from the Shining.
It's kind of disappointing since American Vampire is a really good comic.
