Jackie Estacado, wielder
of the Darkness, finds himself in the nightmare world of Kingdom Pain, where he
frees Ariel Darkchylde from her slumber. Together, they battle Darkchylde’s
fellow coma patient Breathtaker. Their opponent is finally killed by Sara
Pezzini, wielder of the Witchblade, who vaguely remembers Ariel from their
previous encounter in a 2000 one-shot.
