Sherlock
Holmes and Dr. Watson hire Mrs. Hudson as their housekeeper, and become
involved in the case of the Giant Rat of Sumatra. A.J. Raffles also appears. In
the original Doyle stories, Mrs. Hudson is Holmes and Watson’s landlady, rather
than their housekeeper. This, combined with Holmes being portrayed as a much
more fallible detective than Doyle depicted him, places this novel in an AU.
