Angel Natalie Cook
accompanies her boyfriend to his reunion at Rydell High School. Rydell High School is
from the film Grease and its
sequel. Since the Charlie’s Angels television series and subsequent
films take place in the CU, so do the Grease movies.

Although not a fan of either franchise, I can still view these as legitimate crossovers
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of either myself, but as you said a legitimate crossover is a legitimate crossover.
ReplyDeleteTwo things of two note:
Would these be the same angels from the TV show and the movie is back dated to the 70s or are they new angels and it happens during the time it was produces?
I assume that all the singing in Grease was just fictionalization and people did not really break out in song.
As far as your comment about Grease, one can only hope
DeleteYeah, I never really like musicals.
DeleteThe Charlie's Angel movies acknowledge that Charlie has been in the business since the 70s, and the second movie even has a cameo by Kelly Garrett (one of the original angels, played by Jacklyn Smith) offering advice to one of the new generation.
DeleteThe films feature a new team of Angels, but John Forsythe reprises his role as the voice of Charlie, and in the second film, Dylan Sanders has a vision of Kelly Garrett, Jaclyn Smith's character from the TV series, who is identified as a former angel.
