Crossover Cover: Curse of the Necronomicon

“Myth hunter” Elisa Hill is hired by the wealthy Sebastian Clarke to locate her former lover and partner Lucas Davalos, who has gone incommunicado while tracking down the Necronomicon for Clarke. Elisa refers to an acquaintance of hers whose drink of choice is Demarara rum, as well as “that Diamondback character out of Denbrook.” The Necronomicon is a staple of Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos. Elisa’s Demerara-drinking acquaintance is Derrick Ferguson’s adventurer Dillon. Diamondback is from Ferguson’s as-yet unpublished novel Diamondback: It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time. The city of Denbrook was the setting of serialized novels by Constantine, Ferguson and other authors for the Frontier Publishing website.

  1. The depth of your knowledge is truly frightening. I didn't think that anybody outside of myself, Percival, Russ Anderson and maybe a dozen other even remembered that Frontier Publishing once existed.

And to give credit where it's due: the city of Denbrook was created by Mike McGee, an extraordinarily talented writer who came up with Denbrook so that those of us who wrote for Denbrook would have a shared city to play in. If anybody is interested you can find the original Denbrook Bible written by Mr. McGee here:
