Crossover Covers: Star Trek/Green Lantern: The Spectrum War

The Enterprise crew of the divergent universe seen in the films Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek: Into Darkness encounter Green Lantern Hal Jordan and the surviving members of six other Corps bearing different-colored rings that allow them to harness the powers of the Emotional Spectrum, who were sent there from their own reality (a possible future of the DC Comics Universe) to escape the wrath of the embodiment of Death known as Nekron, who instead follows them to this new universe.

  1. This is the second Star Trek crossover you've posted this wee. Not that I am complaining. I am just asking if that's an intentional theme?

I had been under the impression that it was the crew from the original universe that was in this crossover. Interesting that they chose the new movies instead.

  2. Just curious. Should a divergent timeline be listed as an AU, even if those future events haven't chronologically happened yet in the present time?

    1. The thing about it Win already detailed a history of the CU for about several thousand years into the future in the second volume of Crossovers. So anything different is is probably going to be the AU section of Sean's volumes.

Of course, Win makes clear there are multiple futures. I believe, and I think everyone else will agree, that it is perfectly fine to prefer a different future than the standard Star Trek, but there is a precedent for it.
